I stated blowing glass in February of 2001, working with owner Charlie Miner and the other artist at Tesuque Glassworks. Art and music have always been a big part of my life. I have experimented with many different mediums, from sculpting to graphics; graffiti; none of which have entranced me more than glass.
The sense of urgency is addictive when handling a material so fluid. It not only records your every movement, but every hesitation, as well. Time for pausing and reflecting on a piece in progress is virtually non-existent. You can't stop until the piece either in the annealer or the trash bin.
